Letting go

Thought of the Day –

Letting go can be very hard – especially when you’re holding on to something real tight.
They say, if it’s really meant for you, it will come right back to you anyway, so there’s not much risk. Open your hands, and let it go….

Now, notice that your hands are freed up to receive something (or someone) new.

Trust and believe that what will come next will be better than whatever you were holding onto so tightly.
Oh, and fight the urge (which will strike) to reach out to grab that which you just released and take it back.
Remember – you also have to release the habits associated with that which you released. That part will take time.
So, really, you’ll have to “let go” again and again and yet again – every day in some cases – before you will really be able to release.
You might also need to allow yourself some time to mourn the loss of whatever you let go.
Mourn. But, don’t wallow….that can become your new worst habit if you’re not careful.
Letting go can be very hard, yet also so liberating. I keep telling myself that anyway.

Tell me about something (or someone) you let go of, and what came into your life next.
